AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (AISSMS IOIT) in Pune recently hosted an engaging event on February 11, 2024, highlighting the innovative programs offered by Abertay University, UK. Organized by the IOIT ACM Student Chapter in partnership with AECC – Study Abroad Consultants, this insightful session provided a valuable platform for students to explore global academic opportunities.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Meenakshi A. Thalor, Dean of the International Partnership Cell, under the guidance of Dr. P.B. Mane, Principal, and honored by the presence of Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati, Secretary of AISSMS.
Dr. Pradeep Mane, Principal of AISSMS IOIT, opened the session by welcoming Mr. Doug Watters, Head of International Recruitment at Abertay University and an influential figure in global education, particularly within the Africa Committee of IC3 and the Board of Victoria League Scotland.
Abertay University is renowned for its commitment to cybersecurity education, boasting an Academic Centre of Excellence that prepares students for successful careers in this critical field. Watters emphasized the university’s holistic educational approach, which combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, ensuring that graduates are well-equipped for the industry.
The collaboration with AECC – Study Abroad Consultants added significant value to the event, broadening its reach and giving students access to international educational prospects. Over 120 enthusiastic students from AISSMS IOIT participated, engaging in discussions about course structures, career trajectories, and the global significance of Abertay’s offerings.
This successful event not only expanded the attendees’ horizons but also strengthened the ties between Abertay University and aspiring international students in India.
