Scottish pop sensation Amy Macdonald is set to electrify Dundee with a special performance at Fat Sam’s on 11 July 2025, coinciding with the release of her highly anticipated album Is This What You’ve Been Waiting For?. The intimate gig, presented in collaboration with Assai Records, will be the first chance for fans in Dundee to experience the new record live.
Album and ticket bundles for the Fat Sam’s show will be available via Assai Records’ website (assai.co.uk) from 10am on Friday, 13 June 2025. Announcing the event, Assai Records posted on Facebook, “Scottish pop superstar Amy Macdonald is back with her new record Is This What You’ve Been Waiting For? on 11 July, and she’ll be celebrating with a live show for Assai Records at Fat Sam’s on release night!”
Amy, who has sold over six million albums worldwide, is no stranger to captivating audiences. In a 2020 interview with ClashMusic, reflecting on her album The Human Demands, she shared, “I love seeing how my music resonates with people, especially in Scotland where the energy is always electric.” That same energy is sure to surge through Fat Sam’s, a venue celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere, as she brings her latest songs to life.
The Dundee show is the latest highlight in an already exciting year for the singer, who recently announced a second date at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro after the first sold out. Her connection to Dundee runs deep, last year she raised £70,000 for a local charity by auctioning a unique Gleneagles Hotel experience, reinforcing her dedication to giving back. As she told ClashMusic in 2017, “Scotland is my home, and I’ll always support the communities here however I can.”
